I'm involved i some other wireless driver projects. This MIMO stuff is fairly new, don't just expect that it 'will work' just because you could buy the card at a store. Normally for these projects there is a huge gap between the product is released for sales and the actual support within Linux. Please remember that the madwifi is a total reverse engineered driver and not supported by Atheros. If you want to blame someone for this, blame Atheros for not Supporting the Linux OpenSource Community.
