FWIW, graphs seem to work better with managers than numbers do.

An idea might be to run rrdcollect (rrdcollect.sourceforge.net) to
collect the network traffic counters / cpu counters, etc from /proc.  It
runs as a daemon and can natively update an .rrd.

Recently I ran into a case where the year,month, and week history
graphics did more convincing than any numbers could have...

It might be an option before going to the full-blown nagios approach.

I'd share my .lrp with you, but the boxes are running libc, not uclibc.
 Are you in a position to compile your own lrp?
