You will need a build environment setup to compile against uClibc (ie: a cross-compile environment). Buildtool will setup this environment for you, and can also build any of the leaf packages already in CVS. Once the build environment has been setup, you can create the meta-data for your desired package and automatically build it with buildtool, or you can go through the configure-compile-package steps by hand.
