Hi,
it seems I always find more problems with openntpd.
I want to serve time to my internal clients (up till now, I passed their
requests through the firewall - a lazy approach, but I was pressed for
time).
Openntpd should do this. I've configured ntpd.conf with 'listen on *'
(it is working as a client and sync'ing my LEAF box - Bering uClibc 3.0,
latest openntpd from LEAF). And also Shorewall to let the clients in.
Sadly port 123 stays stubbornly closed and daemon.log reports:

Jul 27 17:02:09 brandmauer /usr/sbin/openntpd[23469]: adjusting local clock by
0.646267s
Jul 27 17:02:46 brandmauer openntpd[11960]: listening on 10.8.0.1
Jul 27 17:02:46 brandmauer openntpd[11960]: fatal: bind: Address already in use
Jul 27 17:02:46 brandmauer openntpd[29528]: dispatch_imsg in main: pipe closed
Jul 27 17:02:46 brandmauer openntpd[29528]: Terminating

in response to a daemon restart.

Googling doesn't turn up much, except that a few others have seen this problem.
but not on LEAF.

Does anyone have any ideas ?

Cheers,
Robert
