I got mine up and running in the meantime, I did an override of the
inittab in etc.lrp using a dummy configdb. I believe that is the more
generic way. I had to recompile initrd to have access to the compact
flash, unfortunately the pata_sc1200 is not compiled in the current
release, whatever, that's what a development box is for.
