If you need to force the loading of a kernel module at boot time you can try the KMODULES argument on the kernel command-line. Module options can also be specified in the same way.
Some clues about how to do this are documented in the Wiki at http://sourceforge.net/apps/mediawiki/leaf/index.php?title=Bering-uClibc_4.x_-_User_Guide_-_Basic_Configuration_-_Booting_for_the_First_Time#Troubleshooting (The module option syntax is described under "DMA Issues") dMb On 28 Mar 2013, at 20:51, Pär Johansson wrote: > Thanks, but i want to boot from the array. > Would that really work? > > > > Best regards > > > Pär Johansson > > > > 28 mar 2013 kl. 20:51 skrev Andrew <ni...@seti.kr.ua>: > >> >> 28.03.2013 19:29, Pär Johansson пишет: >>> Hi >>> I'm running a Proliant DL380R02 with Bring uClibc 3.1.1, now I want upgrade >>> to 5.0 b1. >>> The cciss driver for the Smart Array 5i is not available in the modules but >>> I have found the hpsa driver that could work with the option >>> "hpsa.hpsa_allow_any=1", see >>> http://cciss.sourceforge.net/#supportedhardware. >>> Also fund this page http://linux.die.net/man/4/hpsa. >>> I have copied the hpsa.ko.gz to /lib/modules/ and added hpsa.ko.gz to >>> /var/lib/lrpkg/initmod.modules in initmod.lrp. >>> Is this correct and where do I put the option and what's the syntax? >>> >>> >>> >>> Best regards >>> >>> >>> Pär Johansson >>> Sweden >>> >>> >> Hi. >> No, this is incorrect. /var/lib/lrpkg/*.modules contains list of modules >> that are included into some packages so they'll be excluded from >> moddb.lrp on backup. >> You may just add module to /etc/modules and run autoprobing to get >> module with all rependencies into /lib/modules.
