I would suggest it is too early to think about using Atheros in production mode. The driver is quite unstable yet, I couldn't make it run well in AP mode.
Also note that atheros support is included as a separate package, which you can get from http://www.hazard.maks.net/wisp-dist/downloads/packages/ . Marc E.
