But I still can't get the demarctech to work but I know it works with pebble. Does wispdist only support certain intersil prism 2 cards? This is very odd since pebble and wispdist both use hostap. Do I need to change something for the brand of wireless card somewhere?

This is a bit strange. I just changed the wireless card to a senao and my laptop could connect. But it couldn't get and IP address and apstats shows nothing. I tried changing /etc/dhcpd.conf but when I rebooted, my changes were lost. Maybe a save config will help.
So I tried the demarctech with pebble again and it's working! But not with wispdist. I'll see what else I can find out about this card.

Ok,
So you cannot see the associated client in the AP statistics?

A description of hardware that you use would be nice.

Hey folks,
I'm wondering what's the simplest way to get a wireless network using wispdist. I downloaded the latest tarball and I'm trying to configure it. All I want to do is see if my clients can associate so I don't need the ethernet to work. I just need netcs0 to hand out IP's.
So I set my wireless card to Master mode but my clients can't seem to associate. What else do I need to do? Do I need to set dhcpd somewhere? (netcs0 is configured to start during boot with a static IP.)
