I don't think it is the card. Most probably there is interrupt problem with your Ricoh.

Please send me output of /proc/interrupts

Indeed... I have build Karlnet Flashrom units before, and I used the parts from one I hadn't put together. So I think it is a Richo based one. It finds the card just fine.. but doesn't bring up the AP properly. I am using the partition based installation 2426. I tried one from your site.. 1.3.1p26 but it seems to have some differences. 1.3.1p26 would tell me a TX error all the time. /start

What do you think? You could access the unit if you like... 64.25.142.172

I'll try swaping cards again. I have tried all 3 different firmware revisions for the card. Thanks so much, Andy

I use WISP-Dist myself with Demarctech cards and they used to work fine.

You use somekind of PCMCIA-PCI adapter?

Andy Henckel wrote:

Hello,

I setup wispdist on a pII350 that I had laying around the basement this weekend.
After grinding away for some time, I finally got everything into place... or at least
the illusion thereof.

My problem is this: I have Demarctech card. And it won't work.
I tried orinoco card.. but AP mode is unsupported?

After reading the wireless thread on the list archive, I upgraded the 1.4.9 station
firmware to 1.5.6
(primary 1.0.1 to 1.1.1)

And it still won't work. I will try to upgrade to 1.7.4 or downgrade back to 1.5.6
with primary of 1.0.1.

Any suggestions?

What happens is very strange. I reboot the dist, and then with my laptop, I can see
the network when I scan for AP's. As soon as I try to connect to the AP, I cannot.
And then it disappears alltogether, until another reboot.
Although it's not like the dist is locking up or anything.

Thanks in advance.
