They have said things twice since 460-6. There was a press release on 2005-11-11 http://www.ras.org.uk/images/stories/ras_pdfs/Leap%20Seconds%20press%20statement.pdf and there is the press release from last fall which was just reiterated this week as part of the press room coverage for WRC-12. http://www.itu.int/net/newsroom/wrc/2012/reports/atomic_time.aspx What the ITU-R has said shows that its organization is willing to advance non-consensual proposals to the level of international regulations. This is much as in 1970 when they also disregarded calls from international scientific organizations. -- Steve Allen <[email protected]> WGS-84 (GPS) UCO/Lick Observatory Natural Sciences II, Room 165 Lat +36.99855 University of California Voice: +1 831 459 3046 Lng -122.06015 Santa Cruz, CA 95064 http://www.ucolick.org/~sla/ Hgt +250 m _______________________________________________ LEAPSECS mailing list [email protected] http://six.pairlist.net/mailman/listinfo/leapsecs
