First, let me thank John and all the other members of this group for ledger
and all the associated information here. I'm using ledger to manage the
books for a small business and love it. It seems to me that when reports
have commodities in them the report shows all the commodities *above* the
label, whereas the subaccounts go *below* the label. I.e, ledger will
produce a report that looks like this:

             $328.32
     22643.625 FUNDA
      4022.333 FUNDB
        15.661 FUNDC Assets
             $328.32 Checking
     22643.625 FUNDA
      4022.333 FUNDB
        15.661 FUNDC MutualFund
            $-328.32
    -22643.625 FUNDA
     -4022.333 FUNDB
       -15.661 FUNDC Equity:OpeningBalance
--------------------
                   0

whereas it seems more logical to me to format it like this:

             $328.32 Assets
     22643.625 FUNDA
      4022.333 FUNDB
        15.661 FUNDC
             $328.32 Checking
     22643.625 FUNDA MutualFund
      4022.333 FUNDB
        15.661 FUNDC
            $-328.32 Equity:OpeningBalance
    -22643.625 FUNDA
     -4022.333 FUNDB
       -15.661 FUNDC
--------------------
                   0

preserving the logic that details go *below* top level labels for
*both*commodities and subaccounts.

This is really a question of appearances, I understand, but is there some
other logic at work here? To my eye, the second report is easier to
understand or explain.
