Perhaps it's just that it's Monday morning and I haven't yet had enough
coffee, but I can't seem to make ledger do what I want. I've searched
the documentation and the list archives and didn't find anything; I'd
appreciate any pointers.

I'm using ledger 2.6.3 (the version in the OpenBSD ports tree). The
--cleared and --uncleared options affect calculation. Is there a way to
*display* uncleared items, but to calculate balances as normal?

Usually, what I want is to only display transactions from the current
month or later, but say I, for example, wrote a check out on the last
day of the previous month which isn't cashed until the 15th. What I'd
like is something that says "give me all transactions from the current
month or later plus anything that's not yet cleared." This will mirror
what my bank has for the current statement period, plus money I've
committed.

I notice that the manual for ledger 3 gives a description of the
--uncleared option as "Display only uncleared postings." Is the answer
to my problem just to upgrade to version 3?
