I have moved from 2.6 to 3.0 some time ago now, but as far as I can remember, I have not encountered any major issue. There are two types of differences between 2.6 to 3.0 - file format : I would be ready to bet that any ledger data that is in 2.6 format is readable by ledger 3.0. - ledger executable functionalities : Ledger 3 has much more functionalities than 2.6. Allmost all has been ported to 3.0. Except OFX support, and Gnucash file format support (I will add this to documentation).
