I have pushed a chnge to Master that many of you will notice: I have
removed ldg-new.el and relocated the entry point to ldg-mode, which
makes more sense and reduces confusion for new users.
Putting
(load "ldg-mode")
(add-to-list 'auto-mode-alist '("\\.ledger$" . ledger-mode))
in your .emacs (or equivalent) should load ledger mode.
