This one has been a long time coming. You can now easily customize the contents of the reconcile buffer. Change the ledger-reconcile-buffer-line-format variable using ledger customization, or your own init code.
The default is "%(date)s %-4(code)s %-50(payee)s %-30(account)s %15(amount)s\n" Available fields are date, status, code, payee, account, amount.
