It's arguable that by naming them "payee" and "narration" you're implying a certain meaning for these fields. In fact, I would argue if someone uses them for some other meaning, that's probably a bit of a kludge. About the payee vs. account thing: there is an interesting dichotomy between payee and account name: in many cases a payee whose transactions always take place in the same account can be replaced by a sub-account, e.g. Expenses:Communications:Internet with payee "Time-Warner Cable" vs. Expenses:Communications:Internet:TimeWarnerCable Both work.
