I've thought about this before: Beancount only offers checks in units, not individual lots, neither in total cost basis for those units. This is not an unreasonable feature to consider however, but I haven't found it to be necessary yet.
Are you just being particularly sensitive to making assertions, or do you have a specific use case in mind?
