Hi, the ledger documentation http://ledger-cli.org/3.0/doc/ledger3.html#The-xml-command states:
"... It will output such data if the xml command is used, and can read the same data." How can xml data be read in and converted back to ledger's textual format? It seems there is no import currently - do I miss something here? I wanted to use the XML format to write a little automated helper tool for my monthly bookkeeping routine that does something like this: - if metadata attribute foo contains string "bar" and there is a posting to "Expenses:Unknown" - change that posting to another account 'foobar' - add a note to that posting - potentially split it to multiple postings - set a metadata attribute 'baz' to 'qux' for the posting Is there a way to build such a tool by some other means or accomplish the same task without external tools? Thanks for any help, I am just learning to use ledger and so far I like it very much :) Greetings, Ralf -- --- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Ledger" group.
