Hello!
I was looking into creating a montly register report. This works as
expected, as long as I report in one currency. As soon as I try to
report in another currency, ledger prints values I do not understand.
This is my journal:
2017/09/01 P
E 10 DM @ €.5
A
2017/09/05 P
E 10 DM @ €1
A
This is the command producing expected output:
$ ledger -f journal.dat reg E --monthly
17-Sep-01 - 17-Sep-30 E 20 DM 20 DM
This one supprised me, stating €40 as being charged to my E account:
$ ledger -f journal.dat reg E --monthly --exchange € --historical
17-Sep-01 - 17-Sep-30 E €40 €20
I would have expected to see €15 in the second to last column. €5 from
09/01 and €10 from 09/05.
What am I missing?
