Just tried to further this like so:

2018/06/25 store
    abc:            $50
    abc: def        $100
    abc: def: ghi   $150
    lmnop

Which gives me:

                 $50  abc:
                $250  abc: def
                $150  abc: def: ghi
--------------------
                $300

Which disturbs me a bit.
