If these are truely your only steps, then what is libapache2-mod-log-sql
doing on your system? These errors suggest you have it, but why? It's
completely unrelated to installing LedgerSMB.
The errors:
> [Wed Nov 09 08:50:10.807878 2016] [:error] [pid 4792] mod_log_sql:
insufficient configuration info to establish database link
> [Wed Nov 09 08:50:10.807966 2016] [:error] [pid 4792] mod_log_sql: child
spawned but unable to open database link
Checking out the content of the 'ledgersmb.conf' file, on this url:
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/58767921/LedgerSMB/ledgersmb.conf
it's not the ledgersmb.conf I would be talking about. The ledgersmb.conf
file I'd like to see is in /usr/share/ledgersmb (or at least symlinked to
there).
I'm afraid the other information you've provided so far doesn't indicate
why setup.pl would crash or simply return "nothing" (usually, crashing is
*the* reason to return nothing).
Is there anything you can tell us about your system that can be of
influence? Was the system a clean install when you started working on it?
How come your recommends are turned off? Answers to that kind of thing.
Kind regards,
