---- Original Message ----- So full of loopholes Ken could drive a
double-decker bus through it. Suspect we're very low on their list of
problems now. Portsmouth will keep Mr Clarke busy for a few weeks. It'll all
kick off tomorrow in the high court. HMRC might take Pompey down completely.

The Pompey effect is one reason why the PL (and don't forget it is their
money fuelling this) are not in the mood to allow anyone else to take the
piss.
If uncle Ken underestimates their resolve this time then we will run into a
brick wall IMHO. We could follow Pompey -Think about that.
I have a feeling that the FL would rather fudge this issue (and I guess so
does the club - which explains their ownership statement a few days ago) but
the PL are not so hesitant and they are the ones with the multi- millions of
pounds to hand over.
That means that all the other FL clubs have also run right out of tolerance
space.
There is no room to piss around and no tolerance left anywhere else in the
professional game.
The PL are watching the FL very carefully on this issue and they do not have
a benevolent smile on their face as they watch the antics of Mr Bates.
Looking over the shoulder of the PL are UEFA, and the PL are determined NOT
to be embarrassed any more in the way that they have been by Portsmouth.

Leeds are much higher on the radar profile than you might imagine. We have
just moved into very dangerous waters.
