Think you may be right Pete, I mean being a kid in North London with his background and then slumming it at Oxford (Sorry OGOTL) doing what he was doing hardly suggests he was dashing up the M1 every other saturday during the season.
I think I'll ask him just how many times he's stood on the kop - he has been writing to me a lot so why not? :-)
