Maybe it is partly that Becchio is more effective away from home, when
you have spells in a match where you just need that lump up front to
take the battering and give an outlet - it doesn't need to be pretty
just enough to occupy the opposing centre backs. He does slog away
ceaselessly.

At home, when the onus is on us to unlock teams and show more wit and
craft, and space can often be more cramped in the final third, his
lack of finesse and touch is exposed.

Or maybe he's just rubbish.

Agree the constant singing of the Becchio song is irritating. You'd
think given a home town boy has just scored a brilliant hat-trick we
could dream up a chant for Howson.

Agree the back 4 were solid, and I would also stick with them for a
good spell now. I just think it's difficult to say how good they were
as Hull were rubbish. The next 3 games will give us a better idea.
