Can you give me the name of the cinema near the railway station...I remember
(1952 and prior) that it was within walking distance of 2 Albion Street.

Betty I must have given your mum tons of my hard-earned pocket money, the
Odeon Headrow was one of my favourites. Was it the Plaza that was just down
the road on Briggate near the Grand? My local was a flea-pit in Woodlesford
that I spent many a Saturday morning watching honest-to-goodness
cliff-hangers.
 
I do miss the ice-cream lady.
