He has never done it outside League one. When he arrived at leeds he looked
rubbish and was shipped out to Scunthorpe and did the business there as they
went up and we went down. He has never cut it in the championship so its
going to take him time to adapt to the premier league.

Moyes has played him too much too early and risks destroying his confidence.
In fairness everton have had a series of sh1t strikers over the years so its
not as if Beckford is an unusual sight for them. He scored a decent goal a
couple of weeks ago and if he had managed to build on that with another
quickly I have no doubt he would have been up and away as a limited lower
half of the premier league striker.

I can't see the point in the glee in his failure, he did a good job for us,
he was misguided at times with his transfer requests but it's worth noting
post old Trafford he was fairly sh1t for us so this run isn't too
surprising.

Speaking to a season ticket/away game attending Everton fan mate of a mate
at the weekend, his simple assessment is 'he's shit'.

Which is obviously harsh. He'd just come back from the 1-4, so was obviously
annoyed - He did concede he's just not good enough for that level.

> He scored 31 goals for Leeds last season but the huge leap from League
One to the top flight has proved a daunting one so far for Beckford, who
has just one League goal to his name. Sent on early in the second half with
Everton trailing West Bromwich Albion 2-1, Beckford scorned a string of
opportunities and by the end his confidence looked shot. "Let's be fair to
him, we weren't getting any chances before he came on, and after he did, we
had lots," said the Everton manager,
