I agree, he had to go. He is now 27, should be in his prime and the clock is ticking on a short career. He would know that he may never have got another chance to play in the premiership. The odds on Leeds achieving successive promotions were certainly slim so he had to take the opportunity. A large signing on fee as a free agent made it a no brainer for him.

I still think he can do o.k. for Everton and I hope he does.
