The key may be whether we keep our loan players.

Best WACCOE I have ever heard / seen at ER today.

Subject: [LU] QPR report

As Terry E said in his post, these are great times at LUFC and after last weeks brilliant result at Burnley todays one matched it. Make no mistake by the end we had made the runaway leaders of this Division look decidedly second rate. Things started badly for us when Bruce (eventually) went off to be replaced by out of favour Bromby after a frenetic start that brought no real goal mouth incident. Then a decent looping header from Becchio was well tipped over by Kenny. Then Snoddy who has returned to top form had the full back chasing shadows and he put over a deep cross which Howson beat the defender to and nodded it back to Max who hammered it home,We really started to play then and a brilliant move involving a number of players ended with Max and Howson playing a one two and then Howsons cut the ball back to Max but his shot was mishit and went for a throw in, Snoddy and Max were beating their full backs with ease and Howson was looking imperious in midfield alongside Johnson who was having his best game of the season, At the back we stood firm, Bromby seizing his unexpected chance and they were mainly restricted to set pieces and long range shots - although their number 7, I think it was, looked handy We went in at 1 up and deserved it, Second half we had a bit of a spell where we struggled to keep the ball and although they never looked like scoring we were starting to worry a bit when mcCartney chipped a ball over the QPR player to set Max free, He ran and ran then sent the defender into a spin and fired home at the near post 2 -0 and game over. Kenny made a great save from Howson and tipped shots from Snoddy and Becchio round the post, Becchio should also have done a lot better with a free header from a corner. I can't recall a single proper chance they created so complete was our dominance by the end. All this in front of the best atmosphere seen at ER this season
All in all a great result and a great performance
So up to second and maybe just maybe time to start believing ?

Dave
