I simply cannot understand the success of Twitter. Perhaps if you're in
the media or frontline politicians but beyond that.... can someone
please explain?  A sentence or two here or there from whomever it is -
is it some reflection of a need to garner responses or wha? Z-list celeb
culture taking over the world with people "following"
never-was-talented-but-famous-god-knows-why d-lister?? ;->
 
That's not to say I'm against such things - although an infrequent user
of Facebook e.g. to share photos of the nippers with my far flung
immediate family and quite a few old friends that I/we'd lost contact
with have been have been in touch.... 
 
Dr Mike - your big moment for some bona fide shrink expertise input
here!

Long term, I think Twitter has more legs than Facebook, although it will
ceaselessly infuriate grammar pedants.
