from the Clarke one nil website:

10-11 league season divided into blocks of 7.

28 is an interesting number to look at our league season and compare sections
of it, as 28 divides quite nicely into 7′s and 14′s that is the divide we will
use. Disclaimer this is a look at stats not a pro or anti Grayson analysis.

In terms of the 7′s our season divides this:

Games 1-7: W3 D2 L2.

Games 8-14: W3 D0 L4.

Games 15-21: W4 D3 L0

Games 22-28: W2 D4 L1.

Now add blocks of 7 together into 14′s and you get:

Games 1-14: W6 D2 L6

Games 15-28: W6 D7 L1.

So what does this tell us? Well that in terms of winning football matches we
are consistent and are heading for about 20 wins this season. The difference
between October and now is the draw/loss divide. If in the third 14 that
divides D4 L4 we are looking at a season ending possible W20 D14 L12, which is
74 points and a decent first season back in the old division 2. It is also 4
more points than Blackpool needed to make the play-offs.
