I just don't understand how we are taking it up the arse by having a
monarchy?

The one argument trotted out is that we have to pay for them, and that is
the reason it was pointed out they are a net income for us, so it would cost
more NOT to have them, unless we raze all the royal palaces and build theme
parks in their place? Or maybe some more starbucks?

Personally I think the measure of a "life" are the choices we have.. the
more choices we have, the better our life is. In that respect I think the
royal family (the few actually on the civil list) have a shit life, I
certainly wouldn't want any of it. Perhaps that's where the anti-royal
vitriol comes from, you're all raging queens desperate to dress in primrose
head to foot?

Would certainly explain a lot :-)

Okay, okay, you royalists win!

Let's all bend over and take it up the **** if that's economically
beneficial.

Lie back and think of England (well, London, anyway; dunno what the royal
family has ever done for the people of Leeds).

Oh, and while we're at it, we really should introduce this 39th game into
the Premiership. The financial logic is irrefutable.

As for AV, of course we shouldn't change a thing. Best bloody parliamentary
system in the world, that's what I always say. My God, it's impressive!

Brian

Yes, yes, of course I'm just sore because they invited a load of flippin'
trees to the ceremony instead of me.
