Hi Richard

Unfortunately you won't get a "deal" with Apple products, that's just the way
they market their stuff, just a few quid here and there as you have already
found.

The only way I know apart from jetting to the US and purchasing from Delaware
(where there is no sales tax) and when the exchange rate is good, is to go to
the Online Apple Store Refurbished section
(http://store.apple.com/uk/browse/home/specialdeals/mac?mco=OTY2ODY2NQ), you
can get some good discounts there, I have heard positive feedback going down
this route.

For a an extra 2 year warranty you will need to purchase AppleCare within the
first year of your purchase, for an iMac 27" it's £142
http://store.apple.com/uk/product/APPLECAREIMAC-102584?mco=MTYzNjAwNjQ

Office for Mac, there are many versions of the software and prices ranging from
approx £59-£300, don't be fobbed off with the Professional Edition if you don't
really need it

Hope this helps
Paul
