Having gotten over his move to Scum, I only see two issues with Smith. His
fitness and his temper--though for the right price (wagewise) I think it's a
gamble I would take. Being isolated in the backwater of Empire (errr, I mean
Canada), I haven't had a chance to see him much since he left us. I'm not
given to watching Manchester or Newcastle play, so I admit my opinion isn't
based on much.

I hope he is mellowed as the years have progressed. Otherwise, he could be
another Eric Hassli (who plays in the MLS for Vancouver), with a tendency to
pick up cards as often as he scores.
