It focuses on three things, the Jewish community in Leeds, Leeds the city 
itself and Leeds United. If you have an interest in two or three of those, then 
it's maybe for you. If you only have an interest in one(as I have), then 
perhaps it's not for you.

I have to agree with that. The same things that make it the Football Book of 
the Year and the sports book of the year are the very things that would make it 
awful if what you want is the run of the mill book which deals with the 
football in isolation. There is no implied criticism here, the objection 
expressed above is accurate and honest.
This is not your ordinary football book.
