As I am bored stiff I am about to have a rant!! It seems to me that the whole of football is one big fucking farce. Filled with ego tripping money bags, ego tripping officials, psychopathic manipulators [either agents or our stoat] a lot of hype and spin and fuck all about talent.
Having taken over our team [ I am our 'Malignant Stoat'] I am gobsmacked by the egos even at this level. How much time is spent massaging and manipulating ego and so little on the business at hand. I am used to local politics so I know the 'rules' and quite enjoy the 'game' but it got fuck all to do with anything. Pettiness is rampant. Players are judged on some esoteric factors which have bugger all to do with what they do in the pitch. They are chosen to play because of so many extraneous factors. To rate Johnson as a major signing is bloody daft. To value Becchio at three million is a joke. But the joke is that it would cost as much to get someone similar without knowing if he has the 'chemistry' so needed with SG. The whole rubbish started with money at Chelsea, Manchester City and some joke teams with cash [Sunderland]. The prices are inflated and the agents manage and massage the whole environment with neither shame or honesty. Teams are composed of hyped up no bodies. Results are secondary to buying and scandals. God help you if you get swallowed by a psychopath and God help you if you don't. Who'll come, who'll stay will have bugger all to do with talent or economics of the club. The Malignant Bastard will continue on his merry way. Amazing in a land of cheats and cons he is designated as just that. We were so proud!!
