Well I assume as Bates has gone public claiming 4 new signings, Grayson has
said he is working towards new signings, Bates has said he wants promotion,
hence he wont sell “stars” etc….

If we weren’t doing anything or looking to cut costs he wouldn’t have said that
and leave himself open to further abuse!

I would quite like to have signed Iker Casilias, Lionel Messi and Xavi by now
but the realities of 2nd division football means we probably have 3 or 4
targets for every position and assuming no premier league clubs are interested
we will pick up some of those.

There is absolutely no point paying transfer fees just to give the supporters
some sort of sense of reassurance that the player is good.

And in the last week or so we have been heavily linked with a Champions League
winning goalkeeper, a £60k a week premiership midfielder/forward, a former
Real Madrid defender who has commanded £30m ish in transfer fees and still we
have no ambition.

Some bloke who has spent his career at Preston blows us out for everton and its
all disaster again.

Unless you can go up to Thorpe Arch and help with the negotiations or call up a
few international in their prime and convince then to sign for us just sit back
and wait until the first game of the season. If no one has signed then you can
predict relegation and death to Bates

Come on Matt, the cynics are right 95% of the time. Where are our signings?

That new kit is shit, btw.

We arent in trouble! Don’t be so negative. One Preston keeper has turned us
down, we still have Dudek and now Stockdale from Fulham as potentials.

Cheer up! We are Leeds and of we so choose we can probably pick up any decent
lower league keeper that we want at very short notice

Yup

But we are in real trouble.

Selling the goal keeper was just that. It wasn't thought out. It was take the
dosh and hope for something. This is not a principled stand.

It's looking more and more like an unprincipled Malignant Stoat running amok

It's only because they are in the premier league. Otherwise we could compete.
