immediately go bust if it spends money on any players ever. I agree
that spending money on a player doesn't necessarily mean that he'll be
better than a free signing, but if you're prepared to spend on players
then you have a bigger range of players to pick from and you'll increase
your chances of getting a player that will improve your team. And as
for Ipswich being bankrolled by a multi-millionaire, well Bates is a
multimillionaire too! Matt, don't you get tired of forking out for some
of the most expensive football tickets in the country yet not seeing
that outlay invested in the playing side of the club?
