My overall opinion of the bars we went in, from poncy ones to, shall we say, not so poncy ones was that everyone seemed to be out for a laugh - we didn't come across any pretentious-ness or 'posturing'. The only bad bit was three, completely over-the-top bouncers chucking a couple of local kids out of Yates', and giving them an un-deserved 'slap' on the way.
