Very un impressed with Nunez. Seems to always want to take an extra touch, and his attitude when subbed off was shocking, just walking off slowly when we were 2-1 down. My mate was sitting near the tunnel and said he was throwing water bottles and then stomped off down the tunnel. Get rid. Put Pugh at left back and put Aidy White on the left wing Well, I might be a bit pissed off if I were Nunez too. He was easily our leading scorer in terms of goals scored per minutes played, and yet couldn't actually break into the team. Then when he gets a start, it's far out of position on the left wing. He's not a winger! If anything, he should be used as an attacking midfielder "in the hole" or as a second striker (i.e. playing off Keogh/Forsell/Becchio). There's also an argument that we should want players who aren't happy to be subbed. Cheers! Just a few things to add. Becchio really turned the game around. We had struggled to keep possession until he came on as so often we resorted to hoofing the ball when Palace were a much bigger, stronger team. But once Becchio came on we started to get some knock downs and flick ons. For his goal, Becchio did really well. Watching it live, it looked like he'd just been left unmarked, but watching the replay on Mr Bates' laser display board, he dropped back away from his man and the header was sweet as a nut. Quality stuff. He also started the move for the third goal, making a good diagonal run behind their left back. Lees chipped the ball up to him and he layid it off for Snodgrass to cross in, Forsell headed it down and McCormack finished it brilliantly. A really well-worked goal. I was impressed by Taylor, but as Dave says he was completely knackered by the end. Lees had a terrible game, other than the pass above I stuggled to get anything right. He missed his header for their first goal, often lost possession and frequently got caught out of position. But, he's young and we've seen enough of him in other games to know he has a lot of potential. Brown was poor - slow and well off the pace - like watching Sean Gregan again. Thankfully he had Howson next to him. I think Howson is becoming an excellent midfielder. Over the last season or so he's really blossomed. Him and Clayton in the centre of midfield should do us very nicely, but as we saw today, there is no decent cover for either of them. Very un impressed with Nunez. I'm not totally convinced by any of our centre halves at the moment. I thought Bruce was doing OK last season, but he looks to be well out of the picture at the moment. - Sean _______________________________________________ Leedslist mailing list Info and options: http://mailman.greennet.org.uk/mailman/listinfo/leedslist To unsubscribe, email [email protected] MARCHING ON TOGETHER (There's it) _______________________________________________ Leedslist mailing list Info and options: http://mailman.greennet.org.uk/mailman/listinfo/leedslist To unsubscribe, email [email protected] MARCHING ON TOGETHER (There's it)
