To be more accurate, the player who YOU thought played like a pub player for
us.  Many of us on the list could see his qualities then, not as a
swashbuckling playmaker, but as a useful, physical player on the left of
midfield.  He used to win plenty of tackles, plenty of headers and score a
few goals as well.

Or maybe I am re-writing history?!
