What really saddened me yesterday was this, 2 years ago we were a Legue 1
team and went to Old Trafford ancd really 'gave it a go', we were
organised, lively and up for a scrap.
Yesterday, we LOOKED like a League 1 side. An average League 1 side at
that. No pace, no urgency, no ideas. Snoddy needs to take a long hard look
at himself, he was shocking. Only Clayton and White got any plaudits for
me last night. But yet again it highlights what must now, surely, be
obvious to everyone?
Write this season off now. We're not going up, Grayson must have the
patience of a saint as he knows he's having both hands tied together, both
feet and his mouth gaffer taped shut ... and yet he bravely plods on
running the ship. Dr Mike's favourite person in the world is just putting
the finishing touches to his final hurrah before offloading it next summer
to some rich bloke as his plaything. Ground finished and "Up to Premier
League level", three consecutive years of 'good books' showing a healthy
P&L, cashflow etc. The 'global brand', the loyal following etc. etc. All
yours for £50M or therabouts Bargain.
Forget promotion, forget relegation, enjoy the wins, suffer the defeats.
We've little or no option until cuddly Kenneth finally tops up his pension
for one last time.
