A lot of that is because you're not in the US though. The NFL don't even sell an Internet video feed to Americans (and will blackout local TV channels if the game doesn't sell out). You can't watch your local team on MLB.TV - even if they're not at home or the game isn't being shown on proper TV. The NBA and NHL do something similar.
