Are you forgetting who was our most progressive player in the second half. What
about the cross for the goal? White got forward quite a bit but obviously with
a natural winger in front of him he's obviously not going to do it as much. The
myth that Pugh adds stability to the side is one of those things that fans like
to say but holds no weight. A bit like Becchio scores more than Berbatov. In
fact when was the last time Becchio scored ?

I thought we were really poor today. We are too pedestrian all over the park.
Even players like Clayton are too one paced. Also how their keeper didn't walk
for the handball was beyond belief.

My scores

McCarthy -8. Thought he was our best player. Says it all really.

Connelly - 2. I don't think he's good enough. Distribution and tackling awful.

White - 6. One dodgy moment but his pace always helps him out. Needs a bit more
time getting to know Sam's game. Together they will be dangerous in this league.

Kisnorbo -5 .Constantly fouling , looks like he's struggling to me.

O'Dea - 4. Big ,useless lump.

Clayton - 6. Worked hard but I was surprised to see Burnley players leaving him
for dead on occasions. Kept working hard throughout though and that counts for
a lot.

Howson - 6. Same as Clayton.

McCormack -5. Struggling, he looks a yard too slow to me.

Keogh - 4. Really struggling to make an impact. I fear that he will be making
way for the donkey soon and that depresses me.

Snodgrass-7. Two good goals but I thought his general play was poor and he look
laboured.

Sam -6. His first start for ages - people have to remember that before they
start wanting Pugh back in the side. Sam has quality and our team is crying out
for a bit of quality. There's too many Danny Pughs in our team.
Subs.

Nunez-7 . I thought he looked really lively. Do we give him a run up front?

Becchio -6. Didn't pose no threat but he was lively and bright and win a few
headers. Would I start with him ? Not a chance.

Lees -not on long enough.

It was business as usual at Turf Moor but despite the win I thought our play
was really poor especially first half. We just struggle with the basics at
times.
