Hold your horses Humphries ....

My complaint about the left side of our team was all about Danny Pugh playing
in left midfield. He wasn't good enough there first time around and he's not
good enough this time. The only proof you need of that is that Grayson has not
only dropped him in favour of an out of form Lloyd Sam but has now relegated
him to left back and promoted White to midfield. Remember White has been our
best defender this year (not saying much I know). So what does that say about
Danny Pugh as a left midfielder ? Is he providing stability in that position
which was your argument - NO !  His only chance in this team is as a left back
and we've seen him at left back before and he's no good (no pace). So I
maintain my argument about Danny Pugh.

So let's recap. I don't think Danny Pugh is good enough in left midfield -
Grayson agrees with me. I wanted to give Lloyd Sam a go and on his last
appearance he didn't do the job in that position but we know he's not that bad
given his performances last year.

and finally .. do you remember me saying that Aiden White reminds me of a
young Ryan Giggs on the left side ? Just gets the ball and goes at people and
he should play there ? Do you remember that Mark ? It was about a year ago when
Adiy turned out against Donny away and then was subsequently dropped and sent
out on loan to Oldham. So I think I have a right to the tactical foresight you
are banging on about.

Also, at least I have an opinion and at least I give it pre-match or at the
start of the season so that people can see that I am right or wrong. You are
somebody who obviously doesn't watch the games anymore and just reacts to
events and criticises other after the event. Ever so easy that approach. I said
Becchio wouldn't get 10 last season - it cost me £20 and made me look a tad
stupid however did it change my views on the player - NO. He scored last night
but spent most of the game rolling around the floor feigning injury - not the
sort of player I want to watch.

So my immediate predictions are:
4-5-1 won't get us up especially with Becchio as the lone striker and
especially playing that formation at home.
Danny Pugh is not good enough at left back or left midfielder.

So let's see some tactical foresight from you. You need opinions and foresight
to be successful on football manager. As I say it's easy to give your comments
after the event.

How did the performance compare from when we were playing 4-5-1 (with
Becchio) and 4-4-2 (with Keogh/McCormack)?

Nice attempt at trying to take the tactical foresight on this one rich
(White at left mid), but I think  we'll retain it with our assertions about
White being more effective with Pugh on the left, and we were even saying
Pugh at LB was a viable option.

Then not only to drop McCormack and replace him with Becchio (gasp), drop
Sam for Pugh (Gasp) but to play 4-5-1 (GASP!!)... I wonder if that would
have worked in Football Manager :-)

Joking aside, sometimes when things like Snoddy scoring at the end of the
11mins applause you think there is some kind of higher force at work.  I
choked up (again) when Simon went to the fans and applauded, then pointed up
to the sky.

Forest were the poorest side we've played this year. Even their own fans
were singing 'how shit must you be, you've only scored 4'.

Pugh at left back with White on the wing looks good to me.

Snoddy put the ball in the back of the net right at the end of the 11 minute
chanting fro Speedo) was that Aidy White is best suited to being Max's
replacement (something I've been saying for ages now).
