Erm, lets also recap here.  Did I mention specific positions with regards to
stability on the left, or did I mention the left defensive UNIT?

 

Wherever each of them plays, the fact remains that White is more effective
going forward with Pugh in the team.  Over all, at the moment (there is
nothing to say Sam cannot learn to play in that unit with White) the best
combination for the balance of the team on the left is Pugh and White,
defensively and offensively.  I have no doubt Sam would be the best left
midfielder in football manager.  Go figure.

So what does that say about Danny Pugh as a left midfielder ? Is he
providing stability in that position which was your argument - NO !  His
only chance in this team is as a left back and we've seen him at left back
before and he's no good (no pace). So I maintain my argument about Danny
Pugh.
