Yeah, Im not sure how becchio and Keogh would work in practice, because Becchio plays as the target man mostly, but I don't know if that's because he has been told to.
What I do know is he scores lots of headers, and Keogh pulls wide, so I think its worth a try (if not already tried in training), and I also think it will give Keogh a few more scoring opportunities for when becchio goes into a channel and lays it back for the wide midfielder. Maybe last night is the way forward, 4-5-1/4-3-3 with becchio to start, then Keogh & mccormack on later and switch to 4-4-2, with Keogh on first (for brown) to give Keogh/Becchio 5-10 mins to see how it works. Keogh and Becchio wouldn't work IMO and Pugh in midfield doesn't work. I think Keogh will give us a bit of zip up front, and Becchio deserves the chance to benefit from his work. Grayson may decide to stick with a more physical midfield in a 4-5-1 / 4-3-3 because they did well last night, and if Millwall have some physical players in the middle - which I have no idea about.. McCormack can come on later in the game for Keogh, so he can benefit from a bit of extra space. That's my view! Obviously they don't. Doesn't stop us giving them. You just react to what you've seen and what others have predicted. So Mark, I'm going to put you on the line now. What formation would you play against Millwall to get a result ? I'm not going to tell you what I would have done until after the game when I can assess the performance, result and your proposed team selection / tactrics. Let's see how you get on ? or will you just say - "I'm not a football manager , Simon Grayson picks the team not me" From: Mark Humphries <[email protected]> To: 'Richard Walker' <[email protected]>; 'Ian Murray' <[email protected]> Cc: 'Leeds List' <[email protected]> Sent: Wednesday, 30 November 2011, 9:13 Subject: RE: [LU] 4-0 Erm, theres the difference between us, I KNOW Grayson is a better football manager and has more football knowledge in his left testicle than us lot! You need opinions and foresight to be successful on football manager. As I say it's easy to give your comments after the event. _______________________________________________ Leedslist mailing list Info and options: http://mailman.greennet.org.uk/mailman/listinfo/leedslist To unsubscribe, email [email protected] PETE CASS (1962 - 2011) Rest In Peace Mate _______________________________________________ Leedslist mailing list Info and options: http://mailman.greennet.org.uk/mailman/listinfo/leedslist To unsubscribe, email [email protected] PETE CASS (1962 - 2011) Rest In Peace Mate
