Along with the pain of relegation from the first division (old) came a sense of good riddance to those fairweather prima donnas who collected bucketloads of our hardearned. That they had not earned. And we welcomed instead our eager yoof and some honest journeymen. Now, in my mind, football is silly really and the salaries comparatively ridiculous and unmerited EXCEPT when you consider it's importance and impact to great communities of people. Those salaries are earned because they represent us, they are the modern warrior or standard bearer for the tribe, the family, their people. So, if it should be that the poor little lovelies who have the dubious honour of being the focii of our identity and fortune, feel a bit upset because they don't feel they are being treated properly, to the extent that they refuse to try, then I feel they should be pilloried and shown up for the meritless, overselfaggrandised, selfish, spoilt and unworthy objects that they are. Of course the (s)elected leader needs some man management skills into the bargain, but, if there's any hint of them daring to not try, then its our wrath they should face for it is us (We are Leeds) they are shamelessly letting down, And, i wonder how many of our bosses would agree that we should be excused from doing any work, especially in a crisis where our contribution, even if not at 100%, was deemed needed, how many would go oh its alright love, don't bother to work till you feel ok again. And ffs we're all on ordinary money!!!
OK Rant over. Happy 2012 And of course i don't know that any of this applies anyway! xxxx _______________________________________________ Leedslist mailing list Info and options: http://mailman.greennet.org.uk/mailman/listinfo/leedslist To unsubscribe, email [email protected] PETE CASS (1962 - 2011) Rest In Peace Mate
