Having posted several times to tell everyone to just write this season off, given up the ghost on anything positive happening at ER etc. etc. Just taking a look on t'web and (Even though the game was dire, we were lucky to win) from our line up against Ipswich I suddenly, from nowhere, had a pang of positivity.
Our midfield that day was Townsend, Delph, Clayton & Snodders. Now to me, thats a bloody decent looking 4 for the Championship, with an average age of ... 22? Add to that White, Lees and now this Smith and we've a 21ish aged trio in the back 4. Add to that someone like (Who knows, hopefully etc.) a resurgant, old head in O'Brien and Lonegan who, despite a cock up against Ipswich has generally been considered a decent enough purchase and is himself only 27. Isn't Somma due back soon?
