Grayson sounded frustrated and indicated that he had pin pointed some players but had been 'unable to do the deals' .... I wonder why?
As for the game, I haven't got time for a full report but I agree that in the first half there was a lot to admire as we ran them ragged and created chance after chance. The best I've seen us since West Ham away and there really is promise in a midfield of Delph, Clayton, Snodgrass and Townsend. However the problems were up front and at the back (again). All the chances in that first fell to Becchio , who fluffed the lot. 'not the same player, 'out of form' , 'not interested anymore' ...... I've heard the full spectrum of excuses for him this season. All have to realise its just a genuine LACK OF BASIC ABILITY and the Ross and Luciano dream partnership is nothing but a sham. At the back Grayson says we are playing with kids. Ok, so do something about it ? Oh I forgot he can't do the deals cos nobody wants to join a club with Ken Bates as owner. To be honest it's not the kids I'm overly concerned with, I think all of them have got promise, it's the experienced one in the middle that's the problem. O'Dea right from day one has demonstrated he's not good enough. Grayson has a history of choosing lumps at the back. I think his decisions and the defensive displays must put him on borrowed time unfortunately. He just can't get it right. Also Zac is not a right back and it won't help the young lad turning out and getting thumped. I'm going to end on a positive however - if we can get Delph to stay until the end of the season, dump Becchio and get a decent defender or 2 at the back then I actually think the play offs are a possibility. Maybe a fit O'Brien will help also. Not much positivity from everyone there last night though -very low crowd for such a big game. Ken has ruined the atmosphere by sticking the way fans in the West Stand and charging them over £30 for the privilege. The amount of way fans this year has decreased dramatically -the Blues would have brought twice their number but who can blame them refusing to pay Ken Bates's prices. It's a shame that we don't do the same. > > > _______________________________________________ > Leedslist mailing list > Info and options: http://mailman.greennet.org.uk/mailman/listinfo/leedslist > To unsubscribe, email [email protected] > > PETE CASS (1962 - 2011) Rest In Peace Mate _______________________________________________ Leedslist mailing list Info and options: http://mailman.greennet.org.uk/mailman/listinfo/leedslist To unsubscribe, email [email protected] PETE CASS (1962 - 2011) Rest In Peace Mate
