Dear All,
Please can we try to be a bit less like characters off East Enders and a
little bit more civilised. Four more people have unsubscribed from the
list today citing the childish nature of some of the postings on the
list in recent weeks. There the sort of person who wants to see useful
match reports, quality debate and some well placed humour. Instead of
late we have seen a pile of postings many of which wouldn't even be seen
on WACCOE or some of the other more salubrious message boards that have
sprung up in recent years.
Still people do not use Cut and Paste when replying to messages which is
now making even ordinary posts difficult to read.
I think we may have to decide: do we want the current situation on the
list to continue or shall we just kill it when the renewal comes up for
the hosting (which is shortly).
There are a number of people out there who are really taking the piss
some of the postings on the list in recent weeks are just uncalled for -
you know who you are and to be honest I'd rather you just buggered off
to WACCOE where I know you'd be welcome with open arms (the only
difference being that you would have to put up with an equal amount of
vitriolic and unnecessary abuse in return).
As regards killing Ken Bates, I have taken legal advice and threatening
something like that is an offence. Using subtle satirical references to
infer that Bates would be more use if he were no longer with us might
pass muster.
Please think about what you type as I really think we should be policing
ourselves. The list is like a pub bar and you really would not walk
into a pub bar, stand on a stool and spout some of the rubbish we've
seen here recently (for a start you'd get chinned). The curse of the
internet is the keyboard warrior and I have always liked to think that
there was no room here for such individuals.
Aw knacquers to it, I'm off for a walk with me dog, she is far more fun
than Leeds United at the moment.
